Its main responsibilities are aiding Israeli farmers finding solutions for various problems, performing research and developing new technologies in the fields of agriculture and food sciences.
Volcanis' six institutes are responsible for Plant Sciences, Animal Science, Plant Protection, Soil, Water and Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, and Postharvest and Food Sciences.
